ALLEN GINSBERG:

SHADOW CHANGES
INTO BONE

"The Clearinghouse for All Things Ginsberg"

Dear Allen Ginsberg afficionados, and the wider poetry community:

Many of you have noticed that this site has not been updated in many years.

The truth is that Google and other search engines made this site fairly redundant, and I allowed it to sink into disrepair. Many of the links quickly became outdated, and eventually more and more visitors found the whole site more frustrating than helpful. You know when you start getting hate mail that it is time to stop! And the truth is, I've been getting hate mail for a couple years now.

So for these reasons I've decided to retire ginzy.com.

If you're interested in what I've been up to more recently in the poetry world, you should check out The IndieFeed Performance Poetry Channel. This is my podcast for performance poetry than I began in early 2006. I also have a blog of my own poetry at Poetry Raw.

Thanks go out to Ian and DeepWell, who donated site hosting for all these years. If you need internet services, please check him out. He's a great guy and a good friend to the poetry community.

And thanks to all of you for making Ginzy.com such a great success! It was an incredibly popular and important site for many years, thanks to all of you.

I didn't come here to solve anything.
I came here to sing
And for you to sing with me.
